Maybe not relevant to this episode specifically - just a general comment about 'Ireland on the Fly'

Long time listener to the podcast but getting disillusioned now. It’s not any more about the joy of going down on an evening, casting or not, enjoying the chat or the watching nature, the most memorable fish etc. Now it’s competition fishing, knowing depth of fly, speed of stripping, mending, seeing the fish, time on beat, lines, guiding, yada yada in NZ, Patagonia, Istanbul, Iceland, Norway. That’s not the “Ireland” on the fly I loved. The episode about rugby and Montana - that one I loved! I’m losing interest because I want to listen to ‘Fly fishing in Ireland’, and that’s what I used to get. Now it’s 2 fellas chatting to each other about nymphs, technique, competition, Patagonia v Russia, up early, hard work, and where they have fished all over the word. The last straw was this episode dissing the people who just chuck out 2 March Browns or Hare’s Ears - that’s me! I don’t fish for competition, I fish because I love fishing - just to be fishing and that’s what I not getting from this pod anymore.
